Liberosis; the ache to let go

Letting go; it is perhaps the most important aspect of growing up.
From your favourite toy breaking, to outgrowing that comfortable pair of pants, to the phase of life that is now in the past to the people that you have lost along the way, I am sure everyone has experienced it.
It hurts- that is the eternal truth. It has the capacity to reduce you to tears, give you sleepless nights, and leave you the deepest scars, the scars on your soul. Grudges you have held onto for too long have the power to destroy you, shatter you, leave you in shambles. But the thought of letting go of even these dangerous grudges introduces a fear of rendering life meaningless.
The most perilous and painful process of them all is letting go of illusion- the illusion that is this universe- and realizing that, in the end, none of this will sustain, none of this really matters, none of it holds symbolism. It may all end in the fraction of a nano second, just the way it had all started.
It dawns upon you that you have and will keep losing something with every step, small or large, pertinent or impertinent. It may be skin cells, breath, youth, even life and time itself. But accepting their insignificant value in the greater orchestration of the universe, absorbing what you gain from it- the satisfaction and bitter-sweet petrichor of memories- is what really matters in the end.

Anaya, you’re simply amazing in this art of writing, lovely expression. Keep doing it
