Divination; the practice of seeking knowledge of the future or the unknown by supernatural means.

Most believe that fortune telling is a mythical art that should have existed. They believe it would have been wonderful to know the patterns and the consequences the future carries, to make advised decisions of such matters. But the rest know better. The rest know that the existence of divination brings no peace.

It has often been said that when a blow catches you by surprise, it tends to do more damage than one you saw coming. But that is only if one is free to repel it, fight it. What if you have been tied down and bound? Which blow makes you suffer most? The one that is swift and without warning or the one that hurts you a hundred times before actually even grazing the tip of the microscopic hair on your skin?

You know that you are headed towards your doom, you know even as you press down on your car brakes with all your might that you just won’t be able to stop before you hit that innocent guy in the car perpendicularly before yours, you know that, even as you hold onto your loved ones palm, watching their endless agony, the grim reaper is pacing by the other side of the bed, waiting, stalling, preying, you know that a relationship that has been your prop for years is about to wreck, crash and burn before your eyes and you can do nothing, absolutely nothing as the sisters three continue to spin and snap the threads of life.

How dare the world then say that clairvoyance is a gift that should have been bestowed on man when clearly, it is a burden that a select, cursed few must carry upon their shoulders, like Atlas carries the weight of the world? The haplessness, the hopelessness, the suffering is most definitely not a gift. Why, it is in fact a malediction that none should have to suffer, but in the mystically mysterious workings of the world, a burden that every one has to carry at some point in their lives.
